  • Take a ride on the Stanley Park train
  • Enjoy a guided tour of the park by horse-drawn carriage
  • Take your kids and/or pets to check out the nearby parks
  • Visit Third Beach, which offers sandy beaches, crashing waves, and breathtaking sunsets

If you’re someone who loves to shop, check out the Nelson park area. Not only is this a very pleasant area that’s close to downtown, but it also has some outstanding amenities such as Shopper’s Drug Mart, Denny’s, St. Paul’s Hospital, and so much more.

Head north to the Chilco St area if you want to be close to Stanley Park, which is just minutes away by car or bus. Forested areas are far more common in this part of the neighborhood, and to the west at the end of the street is the stunning Stanley Park Seawall Path. In this area, West End real estate has a more modern feel to it while still retaining its historical roots.

The West End neighborhood is famous for its exceptional dining options, so make sure you give some of them a try! Davie and Denman streets offer the most choices; enjoy poutine at Fritz or have the best gourmet meals you’ve ever had at Raincity Grill. For Latin cuisine, give Lolita’s a try, and for Japanese, make your way to Kingyo.
