Renfrew-Collingwood is a welcoming and diverse residential neighbourhood in the central easternmost area of Vancouver and intersected by both Kingsway and Grandview Highway. It stretches from Broadway to the North, East 41st Avenue to the South and between Nanaimo Street to the west and Boundary Road to the east where Vancouver becomes Burnaby. It has been one of the Vancouver Eastside neighbourhoods that have transitioned the most over the last couple of decades, and Collingwood in particular has seen some of the fastest residential development growth ever seen over that time frame. Homes for sale in Renfrew-Collingwood are also extremely close to a variety of transit options, including three skytrain stations.

Collingwood Real Estate Market
The majority of Collingwood homes for sale are detached houses that are known as Vancouver Specials; homes built to nearly the entire width of the lot, making it so that homes appear to be tightly situated in the rows. That said, there are slightly fewer detached homes in Collingwood than there are to the south of East 41st in Killarney, Sunset, and Fraserview. Instead, you'll find a nice mix of condos, townhomes, and duplexes, including a good number of pre-1980 duplexes, many of which will have a revenue-generator basement suite that can be rented out. Between Kingsway and Venables there are plenty of large multi-family housing developments that will usually have Collingwood condos and townhomes.
Detached homes in Collingwood will typically list for around $1.5 million.

It does make a lot of sense for people who'd like to live condo life just outside of Vancouver because it's so much more affordable to buy here and you're still just a short hop from town on the train.
Combining storefront commercial with residential development has become a trend in Collingwood, and north facing units will have nice views of the North Shore mountains. There's much in the way of selection and comparative affordability with Collingwood condos and townhomes for sale with Collingwood Village, and the unmissable Wall Centre Central Project with 3 condo towers featuring green rooftops and community gardens.
Most condos for sale in Collingwood are listed between $400,000 and $600,000, and townhomes can be bought for between $650,000 and $1 million.
